My animation, titled "Barbie Animation", started as a funny idea between my friends and I. We were watching a barbie movie, talking about how much we all used to love the movies when we were younger. Then I thought deeper about it, and realized how much of my childhood was made up of all things barbie and how much she meant to me. I decided that animating my childhood self into different barbie scenes would be funny and perfect for this project. After making my storyboard, I started by having a friend film my before and after scenes. I decided to make me falling asleep while watching a barbie movie the transition into animation. Then, I used adobe after effects to animate myself into different barbie scenes and movies. I thought of my childhood self and what she would want in barbie world. I took three images of me when I was younger and morphed myself into each one during the animation. I additionally animated a barbie figure to show my childhood self around the barbie world. I edited everything together in adobe premiere.

This project was very hard for me, but a massive learning experience. This was my first time learning adobe after effects, animate, and premiere. I think the hardest part of making this project was making walk cycles for myself and the barbie. The pin starch tool was hard to figure out which made the walk cycle hard. Overall, I enjoyed this project because I came out the other side more skilled with multiple applications and I learned how to be more resilient in the face of problems.
