For my sound editing piece, I would like to create a large build-up of different sounds followed by a large drop. One of my favorite genres of music is house. House music generally tends to have beat drops or some sort of large build up and I want my piece to give a similar feeling when the beat changes up. For the most part, I would like my piece to be upbeat. I want to create something that is exciting to listen to which will mean that the pace of the music has to fluctuate, but overall I want my piece to be something you can nod your head to. I definitely want to start my piece with some sort of recurring sound, such as lighting the gas stove, a car turning on, or anything else that signifies something starting. I will be using a mix of everyday sounds, but I would like at least a few of the sounds to be the ones I recorded and added to the shared folder. I think it will be cool to make a piece using the sounds I find in my life every day, whether it's nails on a table or my stuffed animal. I'm not quite sure about how I want to incorporate my voice yet, but I do not want a signing situation. I think a repetition of one word or a few different words could be cool. Since I am unfamiliar with this platform it might be difficult to achieve this, but I hope to complete at least some of these goals.
